A Is for Autism, F Is for Friend is a much needed book for elementary age kids who will inevitably come in contact with more and more people with autism. As a mother of an autistic child, I love this book because it gives a voice to our non verbal autistic kids at local schools and in the community. I found the exercises at the end of each chapter really helpful to reinforce the concepts and start discussion on how it might feel to be autistic.
